This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee patient care activities ensure regulatory compliance and foster a collaborative healthcare environment.

Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing you will be accountable for supervising evaluating and coordinating nursing service activities within the facility. Reporting to the Extended Care Unit Administrator you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards develop individualized care plans for residents and oversee the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess resident conditions and nursing care needs developing individualized care plans.

• Coordinate resident care admissions transfers and discharges effectively.

• Direct operations and administration of the department ensuring adherence to facility policies and procedures.

• Develop and mentor assigned personnel fostering professional development.

• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding departmental activities.

• Oversee procurement setup use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

• Two to three years of professional nursing experience with one year in leadership is required.

• North Carolina or Compact State RN License required.

• Bachelors degree in Nursing is required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required through the American Heart Association upon hire.

• Critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration and problemsolving.

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations in healthcare settings.

• Understanding and responsiveness to the needs of longterm care patients and families.

• US Citizenship or Green Card Holders only apply.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in nursing care assessment and planning.

• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations in healthcare.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with healthcare professionals.
