This position is responsible for Supply Chain performance analysis raw and packaging materials procurement.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
Liaise between manufacturing operations and supplier partners.
Analyze ERP/MRP requirements and issue purchase orders to ensure business needs are met.
Negotiate price with suppliers and support contracting efforts.
Monitor contract based blanket purchase orders and elevate any potential shortages or carry over.
Work directly with suppliers to resolve issues with service and/or delivery.
Communicate delays or issues with materials to Production and other effected areas.
Coordinate with Logistics on inbound and damaged materials.
Use optimized purchasing methods to prevent unnecessary costs.
Work with Production and QA to resolve any quality issues with materials.
Work with R&D on introducing new materials forecasting material needs and applying the appropriate purchasing strategy for sourcing considerations.
Collaborate with other Parker Food Group purchasing team members on sourcing efforts monitoring market trends and supporting production needs.
Work closely with companys department heads and teams to assess and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Frequent crossfunctional interaction with Accounting Customer Service Production QA R&D Supply Chain (Inventory Control Logistics Warehouse) Director of Supply Chain and VP of Sourcing & Procurement.
Comply with companys policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
An Associates degree or more than 5years of experience within purchasing or related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Driven and detail oriented.
Strong time management skills.
Other Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience using: Microsoft Word Excel NAV Power Point Internet Applications.
