Our client that specialise in the installation of timber flooring throughout South East Queensland are looking to take on an apprentice timber flooring installer and polisher, to be trained in all aspects of timber flooring.
If you have considered a carpentry apprenticeship or cabinetmaking because you like working with wood, then this could be a great opportunity for you as a number of their qualified installers come from these industries.
You will be trained in:
- laying of a variety of timber and composite floors on various substrates
- working in both commercial and residential sectors
- measuring, cutting and installation
- sanding, polishing and varnishing of the finished product
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- neat and tidy appearance
- good communication skills
- attention to detail
- proven ability to follow instructions
- good mathematical ability
- ability to carry heavy items (continuously)
- licence and own transport (to get to site each day)
