Summary

Magnum Support Servicesis a fast growing provider of various support services for people funded under National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) around Melbourne region. With the current and prospective growth of the company in the industry sector and wide range of services on offer, comes responsibility of effective management of financial aspects of the business. We are thus looking for a vibrant, compassionate and self-motivated individual with proven industry experience to join our team as an Account Assistant to assist our accounts team in day to day operations.

Part time position leading into a full time role.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting financial accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Assist with month end functions as required.Other ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.
  • Assist with invoicing and closing of day to day jobs.Reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, work under pressure, achieve desired outcomes and maintain a positive approach to work in a changing environment.
  • You will have well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide and varied workforce.
  • Update internal databases with account information.
  • Coordinate meetings, calls and demos for the Account Management team.


Requirements


  • Prior experience working with a NDIS Service Provider as an account assistant will be highly regarded
  • Qualifications in Accounting and Finance or similar
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving, research
  • High-level planning and organisational skills
  • Able to multitask and effectively prioritise workload to complete tasks within time constraints
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
