Asphalt Branch Manager Construction Industry

RPO Recruitments client a leading materials and infrastructure company is seeking an experienced Asphalt Branch Manager to oversee full operational technical and commercial performance of its production facility in Bloemfontein.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day plant operations to ensure efficient high-quality asphalt production
• Drive continuous improvement of production systems processes and operational policies
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise plant uptime
• Ensure effective spares control inventory management and logistics coordination
• Plan production in line with sales forecasts and customer demand
• Support budgeting cost control and operational performance tracking
• Manage dispatch and delivery logistics to ensure on-time product supply
• Lead develop and mentor production maintenance and logistics teams
• Promote a strong safety quality and performance-driven culture
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and service levels

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Civil Chemical Engineering or related field
• Additional business or operations management qualification advantageous
• 810 years manufacturing/production experience with at least 3 years in a management role
• Strong background in plant operations and mechanical maintenance
• Proven experience in logistics supply chain and production planning
• Solid understanding of asphalt plant operations and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of QA/QC systems maintenance planning and HSE standards
• Strong leadership and team management capability
• Computer literate (MS Office) with exposure to operational systems
• Valid drivers licence and own transport
• Willingness to relocate on short notice
• Strong communication problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Hands-on proactive leadership style with ability to perform under pressure

Benefits:

Salary: R550K R650K CTC per annum
