Compensation:
Travel Pay: $44$47/hour ($1518 $1621/week) based on experience
Local Pay: $34$37/hour ($1172 $1276/week) based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Diagnostic Technician to support laboratory specimen collection and non-invasive cardiac testing in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong phlebotomy and EKG skills while providing excellent patient care and maintaining high professional standards.
Responsibilities:
Collect blood specimens and other laboratory samples accurately and safely
Transport specimens to the laboratory following established procedures
Properly identify patients prior to specimen collection
Educate patients on specimen collection procedures and testing requirements
Perform non-invasive cardiac testing including:
EKGs
Holter Monitor placement
Stress Testing
Ensure all required laboratory and cardiac testing documentation is completed accurately
Research unusual or specialized test requests using available resources
Document testing information within hospital information systems and department logs
Complete cardiac test ordering and billing documentation as required
Maintain compliance with safety infection control and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required
EKG Certification required
Current BLS Certification required
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Acute care hospital experience preferred
