JOB TITLE: Avionic Technician

PAY RATE: $34.00-40.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

• Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

• Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role

• Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary

Summary:

• Tests and installs electrical harnesses and components for aircraft.

• Routes various wires and cables for aircraft electrical systems.

• Terminates cables and wires for electrical assemblies.

• Performs operational checks on aircraft electrical and avionics systems.

• Troubleshoots electrical and avionics systems to isolate and repair faults.

• Repairs electrical and avionics systems based on assigned area.

• Performs general mechanic installs testing and inspections as required.

• Performs continuity testing and soldering or termination operations.

• Works with electrical harnesses and modification tasks on military aircraft.

Requirements:

• Ability to Obtain a Security Clearance.

• Heavy Electrical or Modification (MOD) experience is required.

• Avionics or Harness Modification experience is required.

• Experience installing and routing electrical harnesses and cables on military aircraft.

• Experience terminating cables and wires for avionics and electrical systems.

• Experience performing operational checks and continuity testing on aircraft systems.

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and avionics systems.

• Clearance not required to start but active clearance is a plus.

• Preferred: Fighter Aircraft experience.
