This is a full time position scheduled Monday through Friday with core business hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The role is hybrid with a regular need to work onsite in Madison WI to support organizational priorities. Off hours availability may be required.

UW Health is seeking a strategic collaborative and influential nursing executive to serve as Vice President Ambulatory Chief Nursing Officer and Nursing Support Services.

In this role you will:

  • Advance nursing quality and safety; ambulatory and inpatient coordinated care; emergency education and clinical simulation; nursing professional development and patient education.
  • Play a critical role in bridging communication across ambulatory and inpatient teams and fostering strong partnerships with physicians nursing patient care services the School of Nursing and ancillary departments.
  • To be a respected change agent with the ability to navigate complex sometimes challenging environments with confidence clarity and influence.
  • Have a strong foundation in financial acumen and the business of nursing is essential with a focus on improving staffing strategies and enterprise wide understanding of nursing operations.

Education:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing Required
  • Doctorate in a related field Preferred

Work Experience:

  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management or supervisory level experience in ambulatory nursing or a nursing support services function Required
  • Experience with an academic medical center Preferred

Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse Licensed in State of Wisconsin or eligible to apply for a Wisconsin nursing license Required
  • Recognized certification in nursing leadership or administration Preferred
