Primary Purpose:
The College Career and Military Readiness (CCMR) and Testing Coordinator supports Title I and at-risk students in achieving postsecondary success by providing supplemental targeted and data-driven interventions that strengthen academic achievement and readiness for college career and military pathways. This role collaborates with counselors administrators and teachers to align CCMR efforts with Tier 1 Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports ensuring students meet state readiness indicators and graduate with a viable postsecondary plan.
In addition the CCMR and Testing Coordinator oversees the planning coordination and administration of all state and local assessments ensuring compliance with district state and federal testing requirements. This includes training staff maintaining testing security and integrity coordinating testing logistics and analyzing assessment data to inform instructional decisions.
The CCMR and Testing Coordinator uses student performance data to identify gaps monitor progress and deliver additional support beyond the core instructional program to improve graduation outcomes college readiness and workforce certification attainment.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with students
- Knowledge of college admissions career pathways and military options
- Strong communication organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and track student data
- Masters Degree preferred
Non-refundable fingerprinting fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee
Experience:
- Experience in a Texas public school system
- Familiarity with Texas Education Agency (TEA) CCMR standards
- Background in counseling advising or workforce development
- Experience supporting at-risk or economically disadvantaged students preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of college admissions career readiness and military pathways
- Familiarity with FAFSA TASFA scholarships and financial aid processes
- Understand STAAR EOC SAT ACT TSI and ASVAB testing
- Ability to analyze and use student data to identify students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports
- Knowledge of MTSS/RTI frameworks and intervention strategies
- Ability to present information clearly to students parents and staff
- Skilled in resume development job search strategies and interview preparation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel) and Google Workspace
- Strong organizational collaboration and communication skills
- Student-centered advising and mentorship with a focus on improving academic outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supplemental individualized and small-group support to Title I and at-risk students in navigating college career and military pathways
- Use student performance data and CCMR indicators to identify students in need of targeted intervention and monitor progress toward readiness goals
- Support students in meeting CCMR indicators (e.g. dual credit industry certifications college readiness benchmarks) to improve academic achievement and graduation outcomes
- Collaborate with counselors teachers and administrators to align CCMR supports with Tier 1 instruction and Tier 2/Tier 3 interventions
- Assist identified students with college applications financial aid (FAFSA/TASFA) resume development and postsecondary planning as part of targeted support services
- Coordinate STAAR EOC SAT ACT TSI and ASVAB testing
- Provide focused preparation support for students needing additional assistance of CCMR-related assessments (e.g. TSI ASVAB) and Guide students in using career exploration tools and planning platforms to develop individualized postsecondary plans
- Support and coordinate CCMR-related events (e.g. college fairs FAFSA nights career exploration activities) with a focus on increasing access and participation for Title I and at-risk students
- Collaborate with staff to develop and monitor individualized student readiness plans aligned to academic and CCMR goals
- Maintain accurate student records intervention logs and program documentation to ensure compliance with district and federal requirements
- Build and maintain partnerships with colleges employers workforce programs and military representatives to expand opportunities for students
- Participate in professional development district trainings and campus initiatives aligned to CCMR and student achievement
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the Title I program
Data and Program Evaluation
- Collect and analyze CCMR and student achievement data to evaluate program effectiveness
- Use data to identify gaps and provide targeted Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for students not meeting readiness benchmarks
- Track and monitor progress of identified students toward CCMR indicators and academic goals
- Prepare and present reports on CCMR outcomes including college readiness career readiness and military readiness indicators
- Use findings to refine strategies and improve support for Title I and at-risk student populations
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional standing walking climbing crouching bending stooping pushing/pulling and twisting lifting-lower 1-15 lbs.
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Sensory ability needs-significant; hearing near vision peripheral vision color distinction depth perception
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Environment: Frequent district-wide and state-wide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours Physical Exposure: frequent cold and heat
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
- Work is performed in district offices and school campuses.
- Regular travel between campuses required.
