Green Acres Foundation is seeking an organized self-motivated Summer IT Project Assistant who is eager to gain meaningful experience and exposure in the field of Information Technology and project coordination.

Reporting to the IT & Marketing Supervisor the Summer IT Project Assistant will work closely with the IT team on a variety of projects that support both technical operations and organizational goals. This role provides a dynamic hands-on experience with opportunities to contribute to several key initiatives throughout the summer.
This is a summer position with an anticipated end date of August 29 2026.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assist in building and enhancing internal apps using Microsoft Power Apps
- Help design user-friendly dashboards and interfaces
- Support testing troubleshooting and improving existing solutions
- Assist with organizing and structuring data in SharePoint and related systems
- Work with staff to gather feedback and improve tools
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Providing support to the IT team and other duties as required.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- Microsoft Power Apps
- Microsoft Power Automate
- SharePoint
- Understand data structure (tables and relationships)
- UX/UI design
- User security (permissions and roles etc.)
Education in Computer Science or a related field is considered an asset
Required Skills:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High level of attention to details
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work in a multi-storey building and lift/carry up to 10 kg
- A current satisfactory Criminal Record Check
