Job Title: Business Analyst IAM

Location: Remote

Duration: 06 Months

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate Range: $50 to $55

Position Overview:

An ideal candidate will assimilate domain knowledge quickly and bring extensive experience researching analyzing and documenting business requirements in ways that are clear and effective for every audience. They will thrive working as part of an Agile team and be skilled at influencing stakeholders to create maximum value for customers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage regular cadence for story definition story writing story review and story prioritization to maintain a well-refined and prioritized backlog of sufficient length to support the teams velocity.
• Ensure stories are written by the team and Product Owner at the appropriate level of detail and size to allow the team to deliver value frequently.
• Clearly understand product needs by working closely with the Product Owner SMEs and other business partners to communicate the product vision and client needs to the team.
• Research and analyze requirements to ensure that appropriate information and context are available for the team to conduct productive story writing sessions.
• Review or create process and flow maps to understand business processes and system flows and fully document the required business analysis deliverables.
• Reduce complex problems to easily understood narratives and informational materials (drawings infographics presentations etc.).
• Work with the Product Owner and Delivery Lead to ensure the roadmap is updated and reflects changes in business priority.
• Evaluate and document alternatives that will provide the most effective valuable solutions to business problems.
• Identify and document acceptance criteria and story dependencies to facilitate backlog refinement and prioritization.
• Provide timely and professional client-focused communications; anticipate client concerns and questions.
• Provide consulting in information security technology alignment to identify and satisfy business needs.
• Review designs and technical specification documents for alignment with business solutions.
• Understand the clients current and future business environment; effectively anticipate identify and meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of closely related work experience 3 of which is in business analysis.
• 2 years of working experience in an Agile environment as a business analyst.

Desired:

• Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance.
• 5 years of direct business analysis experience.
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certificate.
• CCBA - Certification of Competency in Business Analysis.
• IT background especially in cybersecurity and infrastructure components.
• Experience collaborating with Director and VP-level leadership.
• Experience serving and meeting the needs of internal and/or external customers.
• Direct participation in a diverse collection of high-complexity projects related to IT security.
• Experience in Agile methodologies such as SAFe LEAN Kanban and Scrum.
• Utilities background in the energy sector.
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements for Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions including user provisioning de-provisioning role-based access control (RBAC) and privileged access management (PAM).
• Familiarity with IAM platforms such as SailPoint CyberArk Okta Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or comparable enterprise identity tools.
• Experience supporting IAM-related audit compliance and access review processes in alignment with frameworks such as NIST SOX or Zero Trust principles.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge across a broad range of IT and cybersecurity areas (e.g. applications infrastructure processes).
• Systems thinking approach to problem solving with strong visualization skills.
• Practical experience collaborating with stakeholders to identify clarify and articulate product vision.
• Ability to effectively interview stakeholders SMEs and users to understand customer needs and create user stories process flow maps use cases value stream maps and other business analysis artifacts.
• Capability to maintain a 100000-foot view of a problem while remaining detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels - written verbal visual and interpersonal.
• Ability to analyze requirements and proposed solutions independently with limited guidance.
• Ability to lead medium- to high-complexity requirements efforts and coach or mentor less experienced business analysts.
• Ability to work effectively across groups to persuade exchange ideas and foster cooperation.
• Demonstrated seasoned judgment in applying and adapting techniques with high credibility among project team members.
• Ability to conduct and document gap analyses.
• Familiarity with testing project management software development NERC regulatory compliance NIST framework SOX compliance operational/disaster recovery and maintenance.
• Experience conducting and documenting functional decompositions of systems.
• Ability to translate complex IAM and access governance requirements into clear actionable user stories and business analysis artifacts consumable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
