Assistant Head Greenkeeper Ballyneety Golf Club Co. Limerick
Ballyneety Golf Club one of Irelands premier parkland courses and proud host venue of the2027 Junior Ryder Cup is inviting applications for the position ofAssistant Head Greenkeeper.
Following significant redevelopment in recent years and the clubs recognition asGreat Britain & Ireland Golf Course of the Year 2025 we continue to strengthen our award-winning team as we prepare to showcase our course on the international stage.
The Role
Working closely withHead Greenkeeper Dave Baileyand the greenkeeping team the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering world-class playing conditions across our 18-hole championship course. You will be involved in all aspects of course setup and maintenance including:
Supervising and motivating the greenkeeping staff in daily operations
Managing turfgrass maintenance programs across greens fairways tees and bunkers
Assisting in the implementation of the clubs agronomic and sustainability strategies
Operating and maintaining modern turf management equipment and irrigation systems
Deputising for the Head Greenkeeper during periods of absence
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum ofLevel 5 Greenkeeping or Turf Managementqualification (or equivalent)
Several years of experience in a similar or supervisory role at a high-quality golf venue
Strong knowledge of modern turf practices drainage and irrigation systems
Excellent leadership communication and organisational skills
A positive attitude and pride in presentation detail and consistency
