WPEP Trainee Sales Assistant
Job Summary
Overview
This is a training and work experience opportunity within the Sales Team at INNOVATE. The participant will gain practical hands-on experience while developing the key skills required for a career in sales.
Working closely with experienced team members the participant will receive structured support mentoring and exposure to real business activities in a busy commercial environment.
The participant will train as a Sales Assistant supporting the sales team in identifying new business opportunities engaging with potential clients and contributing to overall sales activities.
The participant will be trained in and gain experience in:
- Identifying and researching potential new business opportunities using various channels
- Supporting the team in building and maintaining client relationships
- Learning how to contribute to the development of sales strategies to achieve targets
- Maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting client retention activities
- Assisting in qualifying new prospects and supporting proposal preparation
- Updating and managing the sales pipeline and forecasting activities
- Using INNOVATEs CRM system (ConnectWise) to record:
- Activities
- Contacts
- Opportunities
- Proposals
- Making outbound calls to support marketing and sales campaigns
- Gaining exposure to client meetings (both virtual and occasional face-to-face)
- Supporting the team in growing existing client relationships
This placement offers a combination of formal and informal training to support the participants development.
- Searching for and identifying potential new clients
- Developing basic sales communication and outreach skills
- Using CRM systems to track and manage activity
- Understanding how to engage with new clients and build relationships
- Introduction to sales processes and customer lifecycle management
Participants are eligible to complete the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.
