About the Role
The Care Educator (EN) is a key member of Eldercares Learning and Development (L&D) Educator Team delivering highquality clinical and care education that builds workforce capability and supports safe personcentred care.
In this role you will support the delivery of Mandatory Onboarding and Annual Training Programs including facilitating sessions as part of our Day 1 Inductions delivering clinical systems training (e.g. eCase MediMap PainChek) and providing manual handling and annual training education sessions. You will also deliver targeted sitebased education as part of the L&D site education calendar aligned to workforce needs service priorities and identified risks. This includes a range of approaches such as toolbox sessions competencybased assessments and practical handson training.
Beyond formal training you will act as a trusted educator and mentor supporting staff capability development and rolemodelling best practice. You will work collaboratively with the L&D team operational leaders clinical governance teams and subject matter experts to ensure education is current evidencebased and aligned with organisational priorities.
This role is suited to an experienced Enrolled Nurse (EN) who is passionate about education thrives on building others capability and is committed to improving care outcomes for older people.
What You Will Bring
- Current AHPRAregistered Enrolled Nurse (EN)
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience delivering education/training in aged care health or community services
- Ability to develop and deliver training to clinical and care staff
- Experience delivering manual handling training (or willingness to be upskilled)
- Strong understanding of EN and care staff scope of practice
- Experience mentoring coaching and supporting staff capability
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written verbal and presentation skills
- High computer literacy (Microsoft Office digital platforms)
- Willingness to travel to Eldercare sites as required (current drivers licence required)
