What You Will Work On:
As a Maintenance Technician you will support the reliability of production equipment by performing maintenance troubleshooting and repairs.
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on steel processing equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery motors conveyors and production equipment
- Replace or repair components such as bearings belts motors and gearboxes
- Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting (motors controls sensors)
- Perform fabrication and welding when needed
- Work safely using lockout/tagout procedures
- Support production teams during equipment breakdowns
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
What Were Looking For:
- Experience maintaining or repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read basic mechanical diagrams or equipment manuals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel occasionally
What Makes You Stand Out:
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Basic electrical troubleshooting including motors sensors and controls
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings
- Experience maintaining steel processing equipment such as slitters or cut-to-length lines
- Experience maintaining forklift or other material handling equipment
- Basic proficiency with MS Office and Windows-based computer applications
