Job Summary
Work in a team environment to support production equipment repairs and upgrades and perform general and preventive maintenance. Design develop and implement new products/process equipment all to ensure a productive and safe work environment. The Maintenance Technician role requires both working knowledge and responsibility for electrical and mechanical maintenance duties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote and practice all aspects of job safety.
- Always demonstrate Trex cultural values and beliefs.
- Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on-site.
- Learn to troubleshoot programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic.
- Responsible for metal fabrication machining and welding as required.
- Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
- Participation in housekeeping activities to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates acceptably and safely.
- Participate in additional duties as required by the department team lead or manager.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Able to lead small team projects creating a cooperative and effective work environment.

Education/Experiences:
- Required:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Professional Attitude

- High Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to wear required PPE and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to attend offsite training classes periodically (1-2 weeks per year with proper notice)
- Welding experience
- Experienced in troubleshooting hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- 4-9 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
- Preferred:
- Associates degree in industrial maintenance or equivalent
