Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Duration: 14 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: Local Upto $3440/week Travel Upto $4100/week

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing for a Behavioral Health service line covering CPEP inpatient and outpatient programs. This leadership role is responsible for supporting clinical nursing operations improving patient care quality and enhancing staff performance across behavioral health units.

The ideal candidate will bring strong psychiatric nursing leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to drive performance improvement initiatives ensure regulatory compliance and support high-quality operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to improve patient care quality and nursing staff performance
• Monitor unit-level clinical operations and collaborate with nurse managers
• Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
• Develop and maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling documentation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies clinical standards and regulatory requirements
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives across behavioral health services
• Provide leadership coaching and performance management for nursing teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
• Proven background in performance improvement and operational oversight
• Experience developing and implementing corrective action plans

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution

Preferred Education

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license New York State
• NYSED Primary Source Verification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
