What Youll Be Doing:

• Develop and manage training programs for shipyard industrial trades (welding electrical pipefitting rigging etc.)
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training including onboarding and refresher courses
• Ensure compliance with OSHA NAVSEA and contract requirements
• Maintain training schedules curricula and qualification tracking systems
• Track and report training metrics certifications and workforce readiness
• Design and update training materials SOPs and work instructions
• Evaluate trainee performance and implement feedback and remediation plans
• Support audits by maintaining accurate audit-ready training records
• Partner with Operations Safety HR and Quality teams to identify skill gaps and training needs

What Youll Need to Succeed:

Minimum:

• 5 years of experience in a shipyard manufacturing or industrial trades environment
• 2 years of experience in training workforce development or instruction
• Strong knowledge of industrial trades (mechanical electrical welding etc.)
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and industrial safety practices
• Experience delivering both hands-on and classroom training
• Strong communication organization and program management skills

Preferred:

• Experience supporting Navy/DoD shipyard or federal contracting environments
• Training certifications (OSHA trainer NCCER or equivalent)
• Knowledge of NAVSEA standards and shipyard processes
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
