Internal Auditor
Job Summary
We currently have an opportunity for an Internal Auditor and Risk Lead to join our Health & Education team and play a key role in providing independent assurance and strengthening governance risk and control maturity across critical hospital operations. Reporting to the Executive Manager Planning Performance and Projects youll help deliver highquality outcomes that support our essential health services and the communities they serve.
This role is based in Adelaide working onsite at the hospital five days per week with free public transport provided and an option for a hybrid working model to support flexibility and balance.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
Lead the delivery of a riskbased internal audit and assurance program aligned to organisational objectives contractual obligations regulatory requirements and recognised standards (including ISO 9001 and ISO 31000).
Plan conduct and report on internal audits and targeted assurance reviews providing clear evidencebased insights and practical recommendations for improvement.
Oversee the tracking escalation and closure of audit findings supporting leaders to embed effective and sustainable corrective actions.
Lead and embed operational risk management practices partnering with stakeholders to identify assess and manage strategic operational and compliance risks.
Act as a trusted advisor on audit and risk matters building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement.
What Youll Bring
Significant experience in internal audit risk management or assurance roles within a complex or regulated environment.
Strong working knowledge of internal audit and risk management frameworks standards and contemporary assurance practices.
Proven ability to engage influence and partner with senior and operational stakeholders to drive practical valueadding outcomes.
Excellent analytical communication and reportwriting skills with the confidence to translate complex information into clear insights.
A collaborative ethical and solutionsfocused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
