Gross monthly salary range: EURO 2525.00 - 3035.50
Location: Paris France

The Role:
To provide administrative support services across a number of areas within the country operation primarily procurement. To ensure standards of compliance meet British Council internal requirements and local legal requirements ensuring that British Council assets are well managed and maintained and that procurement and suppliers are managed to ensure best value for money.
Owing to multi-layered matrix management as well as a move to hybrid working practices the role requires a solid understanding of the opportunities in the use of digital to increase efficiencies and flexibility as well as an innate ability to negotiate well with internal stakeholders in order to get things done.
Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:
Country Operations
- Assisting Country Operations with general administration.
- Country level compliance support respond to requests coordinate to collect data across different SBUs.
- Fielding requests that need to be filed locally.
- Supporting teams by coordinating across different SBUs for any projects local or global requirements.
Procurement for Country Operations
- Creating Purchase Orders/Requisitions for Professional Services (Facilities IT HR and Finance) according to requirements tracking all requests and following up as required.
- Coordinating with all SBUs involved in P2P to ensure compliance e.g. month end reports.
Operational Finance
- Assisting with information for bank reconciliation compliance for direct debits.
- Assisting with asset inventories creations and disposals.
- Assisting local Finance with compliance and audit enquiries.
General
- Contributing to ensuring policies procedures and systems are delivered with integrity.
Transformation
- Activities and responsibilities may evolve as Professional Services Transformation is implemented and embedded into the organisation.
Requirements of the role:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working across procurement and finance areas
- Experience of Microsoft Excel and SAP
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures
- Written and verbal proficiency in English is required
Desirable:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working across procurement and finance areas
- Qualification or part qualification in accountancy
