Plays a pivotal role in guiding young participants with visual impairments through their summer employment helping them develop professional skills and ensuring a rewarding and educational work experience. This is a temporary summer position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides individualized support and coaching to program participants
Monitors and evaluates participants daily work progress offering constructive feedback and guidance
Collaborates with employers to ensure a positive experience for both participants and businesses
Address any issues or challenges that arise during the program and provide solutions
Maintain accurate records of participants progress and program activities
Encourage and support participants in developing professional networks and connection
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education Social Work Human Resources) or equivalent experience
Previous experience in coaching mentoring or working with youth in a professional setting
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and inspire young people
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Knowledge of job search strategies and career development
