DescriptionJob Summary:
Plays a pivotal role in guiding young participants with visual impairments through their summer employment helping them develop professional skills and ensuring a rewarding and educational work experience. This is a temporary summer position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides individualized support and coaching to program participants
- Monitors and evaluates participants daily work progress offering constructive feedback and guidance
- Collaborates with employers to ensure a positive experience for both participants and businesses
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during the program and provide solutions
- Maintain accurate records of participants progress and program activities
Encourage and support participants in developing professional networks and connection
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education Social Work Human Resources) or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in coaching mentoring or working with youth in a professional setting
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire young people
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of job search strategies and career development
