Surgical Sales Specialist, Vancouver
Job Summary
Hologic is seeking a dynamic and driven Surgical Sales Specialist to join our Canadian sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical device sales with a focus on surgical products. As a Surgical Sales Specialist you will be responsible for promoting and selling Hologics innovative surgical solutions to healthcare professionals within the assigned territory in collaboration with your Territory Manager. Your goal will be to exceed sales targets foster long-term relationships with clients educate Healthcare professionals on our products and clinical outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the company.
Knowledge- Understanding of medical device or healthcare product sales within clinical and hospital environments.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and workflows within operating room settings.
- Familiarity with the Canadian healthcare system hospital procurement processes and purchasing structures.
- Understanding of territory planning sales strategy development and account management practices.
- Awareness of competitive products market dynamics and healthcare customer needs within the surgical or medical device market.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and company compliance standards governing healthcare sales activities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and tools used to track sales activities manage accounts and document customer interactions.
- Working knowledge of standard business software including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with surgeons nurses hospital administrators and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and execute territory sales strategies in collaboration with a Territory Manager.
- Effective presentation and communication skills to deliver product demonstrations sales presentations and educational workshops.
- Ability to provide inperson clinical and procedural support for products during surgical cases.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to support account development and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams including marketing customer service and clinical support.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills to gather market intelligence monitor competitive activity and prioritize sales opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM platforms for tracking sales activities and managing customer accounts.
- Demonstrates strong customer focus and commitment to supporting healthcare professionals and patient outcomes.
- Selfmotivated and resultsoriented with the ability to manage responsibilities within an assigned territory.
- Maintains professionalism and ethical conduct in all clinical commercial and customer interactions.
- Takes initiative to identify new opportunities expand market presence and strengthen customer relationships.
- Demonstrates adaptability and resilience in a fastpaced healthcare sales environment.
- Works collaboratively with internal teams to support business objectives and customer success.
- Maintains strong attention to detail and organizational discipline when managing accounts travel and reporting.
- Bachelors degree in Business Life Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience.
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry particularly related to surgical products is considered an asset.
- Experience providing product demonstrations training or clinical support in healthcare environments preferred.
- Experience attending industry conferences trade shows or professional events to support business development is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory including approximately 23 overnight stays per week.
- Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation required.

Additional Info:
The annualized base salary for this role is $75000 plus eligibility to earn variable commission plus benefits. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience skillset knowledge geography education business needs and market demand.
