Job Summary

Teaching Assistant Bude ASAP (Ongoing)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of Bude is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support their KS2 classes from after the Easter half term on an ongoing basis.

This is a supportive school with a strong sense of community. Their most recent Ofsted report highlights the inclusive and nurturing environment they have created where staff work closely together to ensure every child feels supported and able to succeed.

The school has a higher level of SEN across the cohort so they are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience working with children with additional needs and understand how to support them effectively within the classroom.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils across KS2 within the classroom
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils who require additional support
  • Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and learning tasks
  • Supporting children with SEN to help them access learning and feel confident in the classroom

Essential:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience supporting children with SEN

This role would suit someone who is patient proactive and enjoys building positive relationships with pupils. It is a great opportunity to join a school where staff are supportive of one another and where creating a nurturing environment for children is a clear priority.

If you have experience working with children and are looking for an ongoing role within a welcoming school we would love to hear from you. For any additional questions about the role please reach out to
