VOCAL TEACHER ROCK BAND CAMP (Summer Program Position)

Program Dates/Hours: July 6 August 5 MondayThursday 9:00 a.m.2:00 p.m.

Work Schedule: 4 hours/day instruction 1 hour/day prep 18 program days Additional Hours: 9 additional hours of instructional time with the Middle School group

Compensation: $40.00/hour Position

Summary The Rock Band Camp Vocal Teacher provides vocal instruction for students participating in a pop/rock ensemble setting. This role supports both middle school and high school groups and collaborates closely with other camp directors to ensure a high-quality ensemble experience and strong student performance outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Vocal Teachers responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assigning vocal parts for lead and backup singers. Teaching vocal parts and methods for lead and backup singing in a pop/rock ensemble. Implementing proper singing technique pedagogy (breath support tone diction blend stamina vocal health). Collaborating with keyboard players to support proper technique and accurate execution of vocal parts. Working cohesively with other directors across both middle school and high school groups to support optimal ensemble performance for each group. Professional Expectations Maintain a positive structured and supportive instructional environment. Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff and program leadership. Be prepared punctual and responsive to program needs throughout the session.

Pay and Hours (Full-Time Teachers) $40.00 per hour 4 hours of instruction per day 1 hour of prep per day x 18 days Additional 9 hours of instructional time with the middle school group.
