Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality preventive oral this role you will assist the dental hygienist with clinical procedures ensure efficient patient flow and help maintain a clean and organized treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare treatment areas instruments and materials for hygiene procedures
Assist during cleanings scaling and other preventive treatments
Set up and break down operatories in compliance with infection control protocols
Record patient vitals and medical history as required
Sterilize and organize dental instruments according to standards
Escort and prepare patients for treatment
Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-care guidance
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting
Monitor and restock hygiene supplies
Ensure a safe clean and organized clinical environment
Skills & Experience
Required:
Experience in a dental setting (supporting a hygienist or dentist)
Knowledge of dental procedures and infection control practices
Preferred:
Familiarity with dental software systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent OR
Minimum one (1) year of dental assisting or hygiene support experience
Preferred:
Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support program
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if applicable)
12 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
Dental Assistant Certification or equivalent clinical certification
