Position Summary/Objective:
The Inventory Control Specialist is an instrumental role for Global Widgets success and future growth. The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling all aspects of inventory movement accuracy assisting in root cause discrepancies and implementation of correction measures.
Essential Functions:
Perform physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports
Perform cycle counts as required to ensure inventory accuracy report discrepancies and opportunities
Perform inventory transfers and ensuring the right product is assigned the right location
Perform all computer functions necessary to track materials and inventory counts are accuracy
Perform evaluation of inventory accuracy metrics and assist with development of root cause analysis
Problem solving discrepancies and assisting / implementation of inventory control improvements
Prioritizes and plans work activities & uses time efficiently to achieve responsibilities & departmental goals
Assist in utilization of inventory warehouse space requirements to maximize storage effectiveness
Assist in planning & development of methodology for quarterly/annual physical counts to ensure accuracy
Assist with cross-functional department team members for alignment and resolve inventory opportunities
Follow company policies and cGMP practices for regulatory and documentation requirements
Teamwork ability to balance individual responsibilities and contributes to a positive team spirit
Perform other duties and project as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
3-5 years of inventory control warehouse management or other similar experience or education
Knowledge of FDA/cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulated environment requirements and documentation practices
Strong knowledge and experience with Inventory control management & techniques
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite & advance knowledge of excel spreadsheets for data analysis
Strong attention to detail and ability to understand how multiple inputs can affect count changes
Knowledge of inventory software such as QuickBooks and/or SAP applications
Ability to work on lift platforms for warehouse racking inventory identification and counts
