SALARY:
$90909 to $115000 per year depending on experience and Faculty rank. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill knowledge experience education and credentials. The RVU Rank and Promotions Committee will determine rank of any finalist.

Primary Purpose
Serve as a faculty expert in the department delivering content in the field of Physiology or Molecular Biology and related topics to students in the Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) and Osteopathic medicine programs provide service to the university and engage in scholarship and research to advance medical and scientific knowledge.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach and support graduate medical and other healthcare professional students through instruction and advising.
- Serve the university by mentoring students participating in committees and contributing to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
- Assess student performance provide feedback and remediation and ensure students meet university standards for knowledge skills and competencies.
- Conduct research and scholarly activities in field of expertise.
- Maintain a professional development portfolio that documents teaching service research and personal growth.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all personal and professional actions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues supervisors and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the MSBS Program Director.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the delivery of undergraduate or graduate education.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the area of studied expertise as well as the ability to deliver physiology and/or molecular biology content related to all body systems appropriate for the level of learner.
- Demonstrate knowledge of content delivery via varied curriculum templates.
- Demonstrate ability to mentor and motivate students and peers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Terminal degree (D.O. M.D. PhD) from an accredited institution with current Board Certification in appropriate area of specialization if applicable.
- A record of scholarly activity student mentoring and academic service is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of academic experience as a faculty member at an institution of higher education at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in professional or educational settings.
- Demonstrations of post-doctoral experience and published works of scholarly activity.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the ability to deliver physiology and/or molecular biology content related to all body systems appropriate for the level of learner.
- Demonstrate knowledge of content delivery via varied curriculum templates.
