First Presbyterian Church is seeking a Family Ministries Manager to help support and strengthen a vibrant Christ-centered ministry for children students and families as we live out our mission to be Light Life for the City.
This role is ideal for a highly organized relational leader who thrives behind the scenes loves equipping volunteers and is passionate about helping ministries run with excellence.
Position Overview
The Family Ministries Manager is a key member of the Family Ministries Team providing administrative logistical and operational support to ensure ministry programs and events run effectively. This role serves as a central connection point between staff volunteers and families helping create environments where discipleship and relationships can flourish.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute events programs and ministry initiatives for Family Ministries
Serve as a connection hub for Family Ministries volunteers families and ministry partners
Manage ministry communications including eblasts website updates and database records
Support budgeting expense tracking and general ministry operations
Assist with scheduling correspondence and administrative support for Family Ministries leadership
Collaborate with the Communications and Events teams to support ministry initiatives
Maintain accurate records reports and systems to support ministry effectiveness
Participate in Family Ministries and churchwide meetings and initiatives
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma required
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience in administration project management or operations required
Experience in family youth or childrens ministry preferred
Skills & Strengths
Strong organizational and administrative abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills across a wide range of audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Canva and ministry tools (e.g. ROCK)
Ability to recruit equip and encourage volunteers
Personal & Spiritual Characteristics
A growing relationship with Jesus Christ

Relational collaborative and team-oriented
Detail-oriented with a high level of ownership and follow-through
