Primary Purpose:
Under direct supervision of the principal provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
One year of clerical experience in an office setting
Special Knowledge and Skills
Must be familiar with basic computer programs and operations
Proficient keyboarding skills
Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written instructions
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
Ability to exercise good judgment in handling confidential information
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Receives and directs incoming calls take reliable messages and routes to appropriate staff.
Greets and directs campus visitors maintains visitor log and issues visitor passes when required.
Assists parents in checking students in and out of school.
Receives sorts and distributes mail messages documents and other deliveries.
Assists with the receipt and distribution of student materials including homework requests and grade reports.
Assists with preparation of materials for mailing including preparing labels stuffing envelopes etc.
Maintains computerized files using personal computer including reports employee roster and mailing list.
Serves as primary staff and student attendance monitor.
Prepares attendance reports for principal.
Gathers staff Absent from Duty Forms substitute requests doctor excuses student absences and early dismissals etc.
Assists secretary with paraprofessional timekeeping in and out punches.
Other Related Duties:
Follows district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Participates in professional development faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
