KUSI Consulting is a 360 Human Resource Management company that leverages technology to help small medium and large companies in Africa USA and Asia to meet their workforce and human capital development addition we provide digital marketing branding and website development services.
The Business Development Consultant will be directly responsible for identifying pursuing and closing new business opportunities. This is a results-driven salary and commission role designed for someone who thrives on targets relationship-building and closing deals.
You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure and work closely with leadership to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and converting leads into long-term clients. Key responsibilities include:
Identify develop and pursue new business opportunities across HR consulting recruitment and digital services.
Prospect and generate leads through cold outreach referrals networking and digital channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients partners and affiliates.
Conduct client needs assessments and propose tailored solutions aligned with company offerings.
Prepare and present proposals pitch decks and service agreements.
Collaborate with internal teams (HR Marketing Finance) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
Track sales activities pipelines and performance using CRM or productivity tools.
Meet or exceed agreed revenue and client acquisition targets.
Represent the company at industry events meetings and networking sessions.
Provide market insights and competitor analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Working Experience and Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing HR or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in business development sales or client acquisition within consulting HR services or professional services.
Proven experience closing deals and managing client relationships.
Experience working with international or cross-border clients is an advantage.
HR or consulting industry exposure is an added advantage.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
Strong business development and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
Ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.
Strong understanding of consulting or service-based sales cycles.
Proficiency in Google Workspace and productivity tools.
Experience using CRM systems Trello or similar tracking tools.
Self-driven target-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
High level of creativity attention to detail and initiative.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation.
