Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated well-trained individuals interested in bench and translational research in tissue injury and pulmonary fibrosis. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative collegial multidisciplinary research environment using complementary imaging molecular and metabolic approaches. The candidate will work with patient cell/tissue samples in conjunction with animal models of lung disease. The candidate will independently perform established laboratory procedures and contribute to the execution and troubleshooting of experimental workflows in support of laboratory goals and grant commitments. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies organizing and managing research data and working effectively both independently and as part of a team. The candidate will present findings at laboratory meetings and contribute to manuscript preparation.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree with 1-3 years of related experience Masters preferred.

Established experience in the following areas is desirable: (A) in vivo animal models of disease; (B) animal colony management breeding and genotyping; (C) mouse and human cell isolation and culture; (D) cell sorting (FACS); (E) cell/tissue imaging techniques including fluorescence and confocal microscopy; and (F) advanced biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
