Environmental Specialist Field

We are hiring an Environmental Specialist Field for one of our clients in Trenton NJ.

Job Description:

• The Environmental Specialists will conduct field inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with youth camp safety standards under the CCDBG MOA.
• Additional responsibilities include participating in childcare facility training sessions and documenting inspection findings using departmental reporting systems.
• Candidates should have strong written communication and investigative skills along with the ability to use both electronic and manual reporting systems.
• A background check will be required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in environmental health Public Health or a related field
• Current or former New Jersey Licensed Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS)
• Experience conducting compliance inspections investigations or site audits
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Access and Outlook
• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (e.g. Teams Zoom GoToMeeting) preferred
• Trained Pool Operator (TPO) certification is a plus but not required.

Work hours:

• 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Lunch period: Noon to 1 pm (unpaid)
