Job Summary

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for developing implementing and maintaining programs that ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations. This role promotes a culture of safety minimizes risk and supports continuous improvement initiatives to protect employees the environment and company assets.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Operate monitor and maintain high-pressure and low-pressure boilers used in EV production and facility operations.

Develop implement and monitor EHS policies procedures and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and other applicable federal state and local regulations.

Conduct risk assessments job hazard analyses and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

Lead incident investigations determine root causes and implement preventive measures.

Deliver safety training and education programs to employees at all levels.

Monitor workplace conditions and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintain required records reports and documentation related to workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and safety culture.

Support emergency preparedness and response planning including drills and training.

Track analyze and report EHS performance metrics to leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Environmental Science Industrial Hygiene or a related field with 8 years of related experience
OR Masters degree in a related field with 6 years of experience
OR PhD in a related field with 3 years of experience
OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Strong knowledge of EHS regulations compliance standards and best practices.

Experience conducting safety audits inspections and incident investigations.

Demonstrated ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.

Effective communication and training facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).

Experience in manufacturing industrial or high-risk operational environments.

Knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards.

Experience with EHS management systems and reporting tools.

Work Environment

Primarily based in a manufacturing or operational setting with exposure to moving equipment noise and varying environmental conditions.

Requires occasional travel and flexibility to support multiple shifts or emergency response situations.
