The Role
We are currently seeking aSenior Associate Engineer to join our Urban Infrastructure team in Brisbane. With a background in construction engineering the successful candidate will focus on construction phase services including site supervision project management contract administration quality management and coordinating across our client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of technical expertise particularly with engineering and construction methods materials equipment and techniques
- Pre-empt and resolve on-site construction problems
- Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and understanding of their drivers
- Strong growth mindset and ability to train and mentor junior staff
- Monitor construction progress against program
- Approve payment of contractors progress claims and contract variations up to specified limits
- Ensure the proper and accurate two-way flow of information in relation to allocated projects
- comply with the requirements outlined in the respective roles and responsibilities
- Proactively collaborating with team members contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality timeliness and coordination of project deliverables
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10-15 years Construction Engineering experience
- Urban land development roads and/or municipal project experience
- Must have a strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Australian Drivers licence and white card
- Exposure to multi-disciplinary design development and authority applications and approvals will be highly regarded
