As a Senior DevOps Engineer youll be part of the Engineering Team working on Jetstars Modern Cloud Data Platform within a centralised and maturing DevOps/SRE practice spanning the full Data & Analytics value chain including advanced analytics automation machine learning and AI.

Were looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who wants to shape how the organisation thinks learns and makes decisions by building reliable secure and observable foundations that enable teams to move fast with confidence.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Define and enforce reliability standards SLOs/SLIs and resilience patterns
• Drive DevOps and SRE practices to improve delivery speed and reliability
• Own infrastructure design balancing scalability performance and cost
• Define observability standards (monitoring logging alerting)
• Embed security compliance and risk controls by design
• Act as a senior technical authority and mentor engineers

To be considered for this role you will have: 

• Experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or SRE in enterprise environments
• Experience supporting data platforms and analytics workloads
• Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure and distributed systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• CI/CD pipeline design and operations
• Strong knowledge of SRE principles and incident management
• Kubernetes and containerisation experience
• Security-by-design and secure pipeline practices
• FinOps and cloud cost management experience
• Strong AWS experience (EC2 S3 Lambda SQS SNS MWAA IAM Secrets Manager)
