Senior Applications & Systems Engineer (.NET Windows Server IIS) with NV1 clearance- SYDNEY/CANBERRA

We are seeking an experienced Senior Applications & Systems Engineer with NV1 clearance to support and maintain a range of enterprise ICT applications and infrastructure services in a complex environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to a strong technical professional with experience across application support systems administration incident resolution patching and operational improvement. You will work across both commercial off-the-shelf and bespoke applications including web and desktop solutions web services and batch jobs built on the technology stack.

About the role
You will provide technical support and administration for critical business applications help resolve production issues and contribute to a stable secure and well-managed application and infrastructure environment. The role also involves patching maintenance documentation and support for system upgrades and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support and administration for enterprise applications in web and desktop environments
• Diagnose and resolve system issues incidents and service disruptions
• Plan test and implement patching and maintenance activities
• Support application and infrastructure upgrades changes installations and decommissioning activities
• Monitor system performance availability and capacity
• Maintain and improve technical documentation support procedures and standard operating procedures
• Contribute to problem management root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Assist with scripting automation and deployment activities where required.

Skills and experience required

• Strong experience supporting enterprise COTS and bespoke applications
• Experience working with -based environments including web applications desktop applications web services and batch jobs
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and IIS
• Experience with environment configuration certificates scheduled jobs and service troubleshooting
• Basic Linux support capability
• Strong incident problem and operational support experience
• Experience with patching maintenance and system enhancements
• Ability to prepare clear technical documentation and operational procedures.

Highly regarded experience
Experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:

• Legal or case management platforms
• IBM Planning Analytics / TM1
• Atlassian Jira
• Esri ArcGIS
• Blue Prism
• Managed file transfer and SFTP platforms
• Workplace management systems.

Active NV1 clearance is mandatory
