Koorootang Court Village is set besides a charming beachside surrounded by spacious parks and gardens in the heart of the Mornington a Maintenance Officer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by undertaking maintenance activities and providing excellent customer service to our residents. We are seeking a proactive individual with strong communication skills strong computer skills and a knack for will support our close-knit team on a Full-Time basis. No weekend work! Reporting the Village Manager your duties will include: Coordinating and undertaking various maintenance tasks repairs and inspections across residential propertiesAssisting with general handyperson tasks as needed including minor repairs and installationsImplementing and adhering to EHS procedures ensuring safety of all residents visitors and contractorsCommunicating effectively with residents to address maintenance requests promptly and efficientlyLiaising with external contractors to ensure timely completion of work ordersMaintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and update databases accordinglyAssisting with various Adhoc duties where required as directed by the Village ManagerOperating the village bus occasionally to transport residents locally in a safe and courteous mannerAbout YouThe successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant or handyperson or experience in a similar role as well as:Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasksEffective communication skillsUnderstanding of machinery use and tools required for the jobCurrently hold an Australian MR Drivers Licence (or be willing to obtain one)Computer literate e.g. basic knowledge with using Excel Word Outlook AppsA current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)The ability to take initiative and be pro-activeThe ability to work individually and in a teamRelevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate to Join the FunIf youre passionate about using your maintenance skills to help create a comfortable safe and enjoyable environment for independent seniors wed love to hear from you.
