Procurement Officer

This fulltime position based in our Fortitude Valley office is available for an immediate start and offers the chance to elevate procurement performance across Queenslands largest bulk water infrastructure portfolio. Reporting to the Principal Procurement Advisor you will partner with the business to deliver endtoend sourcing activities provide expert procurement advice analyse markets to secure value for money outcomes for Sunwater.

Other key responsibilities include:-

• Provide procurement advice and support to the business to promote best practice procurement on all sourcing and contract management activities
• Support the delivery of procurement activities including the identification of value opportunities across the procurement lifecycle
• Undertake research spend and market analysis to secure value for money opportunities
• Undertake end to end sourcing activities from market engagement strategies to contract execution
• Contribute to cost reduction opportunities through process improvement innovation and aggregation of suppliers through establishment of panels and purchasing volume where possible
• Draft briefs contracts and recommendation papers for consideration by decision makers
• Support governance probity accountability and consistency with the Queensland Procurement Policy and framework.

Our ideal candidate will have three years experience in a similar role supported by a degree in procurement business commerce supply chain (logistics) or economics or equivalent experience. Success in this role requires effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration problem solving skills and facilitation of outcomes and strong communication skills.

This role offers an array of attractive benefits including base salary starting from $113214 (PRO3-1) plus 12.75% superannuation access to banked time and TOIL 17.5% leave loading and a genuine emphasis on work/life balance.
