We have an opportunity for aStructures Maintenance Supervisor Level 3to joinourRegionalNorth Structures Team based onTownsville on a permanent full-time basis.
In this position you will be responsible for effectively manage and co-ordinate the allocation and deployment of resources within the area of responsibility including personnel vehicles equipment and inventory to deliver safe cost effective and timely bridge and structures maintenance on behalf of Queensland Rail. To supply and manage information as required to support the effective and efficient management of structures infrastructure within the area of responsibility.

Planningcoordinatingand managing work programs and resources to achieve structures asset availabilityconditionand performance targets in a safetimelyandcosteffectivemanner.
Overseeing operational delivery including audits emergency response speed restrictionmanagementand corrective actions to address defects and KPI performance.
Supporting workforce capability through training competency management performance development successionplanningand recruitment in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
Managing budgets and operating costs including labour plant inventory and consumables ensuringaccuratecost forecastingmonitoringand reporting.
Promoting safety environmentalcomplianceand continuous improvement ensuring adherence to policiesstandardsand legislative obligations.
Managing physical assets plant equipment and depots to maximise availability optimise utilisation and minimise lifecycle costs.
Providingaccurateoperational financial and performance reporting to support governancedecisionmakingand management processes.

Demonstrated expertisein bridge and structures construction and maintenance standards systemsprocessesand associated costs.
Proven capability in prioritising planningprogrammingand managing resources to deliver structures maintenance activities.
Welldevelopedleadership ability supported bystrong communication people management industrialrelationsand negotiation skills.
Strong competence in cost estimation costbreakdownand apportionment along with budget monitoring and cost control methodologies.
Extensive experience applying Queensland Rails Zero Harm philosophyin accordance withWorkplace Health and Safety and Environmental Management policies including effective loss control techniques.
Soundproficiencyin the use of Queensland Rail and Network systems and applications including SAP R3 MS Excel MS Word MSOutlookand the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS).
Commitment to working in alignment with Queensland Rails Values and Behaviours.
Other Requirements:
Regular intrastate travel including camping away from home for extended periods.
Workingsemiautonomouslywithin agreed guidelines and direction.
Availability for callouts and emergency response outside normal working hours.
Coordinating and conducting structures inspections and audits.
Undertakingadditionaltraining and completing other duties as directed.
