Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven finance professional to develop deep expertise in supply chain economics build cross-functional partnerships and grow within one of Amazons highest-impact finance organizations. From here you will have the opportunity to rotate to other functional areas or roles across Amazons portfolio of businesses.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models to support planning forecasting and variance analysis for outbound transportation costs
- Conduct financial analysis for middle mile network transformation initiatives including evaluating the cost and efficiency implications of evolving sortation network redesign and shifts in freight flow strategy to drive step-change improvements in transportation cost-to-serve
- Support business case development and investment analysis for transportation network initiatives including capacity expansion and carrier strategy
- Use financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets; produce plans forecasts budgets and consolidations across planning cycles
- Collect and analyze quantitative data to develop relevant reports that surface cost drivers risks and opportunities for business partners
- Communicate financial results and analysis (both written and verbal) in a clear concise and unambiguous manner; adjust style for various audiences
- Create effective business partnerships and provide data-driven guidance to support decision-making during rapidly evolving business events
- Identify opportunities to improve scale or simplify finance tools and reporting mechanisms across the team
- Participate in team activities and contribute to a positive collaborative work environment; support the onboarding and development of new team members
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
- 4 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Experience in financial modeling P&L management or analysis
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Knowledge of and experience applying Generative AI tools to accelerate financial analysis automate reporting workflows or enhance decision-making (e.g. using AI-assisted modeling natural language querying of data or AI-powered scenario analysis)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
