Job Summary
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nations oldest and largest public housing authority with more than 152000 apartments and over 370000 residents. NYCHAs mission is to provide quality housing for New Yorkers that is sustainable inclusive and safe while fostering opportunities for economic mobility. NYCHA also administers a citywide Section 8 leased housing program that serves over 200000 tenants. Since the 2019 Agreement between NYCHA the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. District Court Southern District of New York (SDNY) NYCHA has been working under a Federal Monitor structure. The HUD Agreement sets the requirement to create a new Transformational Plan in collaboration with the Federal Monitor and sets forth various compliance related targets for NYCHA across major operational areas.
The Office of the SVP of Supply Chain Management seeks a Senior Advisor to support the SVP in advancing key operational priorities across NYCHAs supply chain and support service functions. Working closely with the SVP and senior leadership the Senior Advisor will assist in coordinating initiatives supporting operational improvements and ensuring alignment across supply chain units and related operational teams including warehousing and storeroom creation for various departments.
This role serves as a key thought partner and operational lead helping to align cross-departmental efforts support performance tracking and assist in implementing improvements to planning purchasing coordination logistics fleet operations and service delivery to the frontline operations and to the residents.
The responsibilities of the Senior Advisor to the SVP of Supply Chain Management will include but are not limited to:
-Support the SVP of Supply Chain Management in coordinating and advancing key operational initiatives across supply chain support service functions and warehouse operations.
-Support the design and implementation of new policies processes and governance structures that strengthen accountability transparency and operational consistency across supply chain functions including warehouse operations and inventory management.
-Develop and track key performance indicators operational dashboards and progress reports to support executive decision-making and performance management as it relates to supply chain management and warehouse operations.
-Manage special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the SVP including operational reviews process improvement efforts and organizational initiatives.
-Prepare briefing materials reports analyses and presentations to support leadership with decision-making and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
-Identify opportunities to streamline workflows strengthen operational coordination and enhance service delivery to NYCHAs frontline operations and to the residents.

ADMINISTRATIVE STOREKEEPER - 10038
Qualifications :
1. Six years of full-time progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations at least 18 months of which must have been in a managerial or administrative capacity requiring independent decision-making concerning management or planning allocation of resources and the scheduling and assignment of work; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 above. Education may be substituted for the general administrative experience (but not for the 18 months of managerial experience described above) at the rate of 1 year of college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 4 years of college for 2 years of experience.
