Head of Marketing
Job Summary
Novo Nordisk Hong Kong is seeking a Head of Marketing to join its leadership team and drive the expansion into metabolic disorders.
We have been growing by double digits for the past several years and have recently launched our flagship once-weekly GLP-1 for weight management. The obesity market is rapidly evolving into a consumer-driven one primarily driven by social media giving rise to several creative opportunities to segment and win in this market. We are looking for someone who is as comfortable with creativity as they are with data. Someone who is proactive ambitious excited by the opportunity to work at a world-class company and lead a high-performing team and genuinely inspired by the challenge of driving change for patients impacted by serious chronic metabolic disorders. As part of this role you will not only lead the function (marketing and commercial excellence) but also drive the development of our untapped Macau business and high-potential e-commerce and e-health channels.

Key responsibilities
1. Marketing
Fully own marketing strategies and tactics to overcome market challenges and capitalize on market opportunities
Innovate & iterate based on market research competitor analysis industry trends and data
Lead strategy and execution of new product launches congress plans sponsorships and campaigns
Own and manage team budget ensuring optimal spending and allocation
Support annual forecasting processes with data-driven insights
Ensure all business and promotional activities comply with local regulations business ethics and compliance requirements company policies and SOPs
Build develop and maintain good relationships with KOLs government authorities pharmaceutical experts academic KOLs local policy makers and key accounts to drive partnerships in key projects
Build systematic and strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders cascade strategic plans and ensure follow-up on tactics promote and engage in cross-functional and cross-geographical collaborations and best practice sharing
Fully own multichannel engagement with customers including external communications and digital channels (e-commerce social media AI etc.)
2. Leadership & Team development
Develop and lead the team through performance management coaching & nurturing and continuous upskilling
Contribute to affiliate leadership as member of management team
Lead sales force training on product knowledge ensuring sales teams are up to date on latest developments
3. Business Development
Advise General Manager on business development initiatives (partnerships acquisitions) and execute ongoing and future partnerships
Fully own strategy and sales execution for Macau business through direct responsibility of 1 sales representative from distributor
Fully own strategy and development of retail aesthetic & e-health segments through direct responsibility of 0.5 Trade rep from distributor
4. Sales force effectiveness & Business intelligence
Drive data driven decision making in affiliate through development and roll out of appropriate tools and processes (dashboards CRM system etc.)
Improve sales force effectiveness through setting proper KPIs and incentives and monitoring performance
Qualifications
Minimum masters degree in marketing Business Administration or a related field
Fluency in both written & spoken English. Mandarin/ Cantonese not required but nice to have
10 years of relevant experience in commercial operations with majority in marketing
5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in commercial functions
Minimum 5 years of people management experience with proven success track record
Experience with digital marketing including social media
Consumer healthcare marketing experience is highly desirable. FMCG marketing experiences also desirable
