Role Summary:
Lead testing and qualification of metallic materials and manufacturing processes for a nuclear microreactor. Support material selection analysis and process development in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.

Role Summary:
Lead testing and qualification of metallic materials and manufacturing processes for a nuclear microreactor. Support material selection analysis and process development in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute materials testing for design decisions
- Qualify all metallic materials used in the reactor
- Perform rapid prototyping and testing to reduce design risk
- Develop and qualify processes (welding brazing coatings heat treatment)
- Guide material selection and support manufacturing teams
- Manage material testing equipment and data quality
- Improve processes to achieve desired material properties
- Bachelors in Materials Science or related engineering field
- 5 years in materials development testing or analysis
- Masters/PhD in relevant field
- Experience with welding heat treatment coatings
- Knowledge of material testing standards and design allowables
- Familiarity with ThermoCalc/CALPHAD tools
- Python or similar tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to work extended hours/weekends
- 100% onsite role
