Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Position Summary
The Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility (DBME) is seeking three journey-level Customer Service Representatives for on-site roles in Tucson. This position involves interacting with the general public to provide information regarding program eligibility licenses and registrations. This role requires the use of discretion to resolve complex customer complaints conduct research and analyze policies to ensure accurate service delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Public Interaction: Confer with customers via telephone or in person to provide information about services take orders or resolve complaints.
  • Program Eligibility: Provide detailed information regarding licenses registrations titles permits and program eligibility requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Research and resolve difficult customer service issues by analyzing established policies and procedures.
  • Financial Duties: Determine charges for services collect payments reconcile cash against records and prepare daily deposits for the state treasurers office.
  • Records Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions transactions and inquiries using computer systems.
  • Case Management: Complete contract forms prepare change of address records and refer unresolved grievances to designated departments for investigation.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in customer service specifically in roles requiring adherence to established guidelines and problem-solving.
  • Local Residency: Candidates must be local to Tucson at the time of submission and available for in-person interviews.
  • Skills: Proficiency in active listening clerical procedures (word processing and file management) and critical thinking.
  • Onboarding: Compliance with standard background checks and drug screenings is required for security clearance.
Preferred Skills
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly desired..
