Position Overview :
We at Boeing Supply Chain are currently looking for Experienced Supplier Program Mgmt to join our team in Bangalore India. We are a team of Supply chain professionals in India who support the Program Management / Execution of Boeing Statement of Work / Operational activities for all three business units of Boeing closely collaborating with Procurement Agent and other cross functional stake holders.
This team seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual who can support commodities including but are not limited to : Machined Parts & assemblies Sheet metal parts & assemblies Tubes and Ducts assemblies Welding and Fabrication parts Structural Fabrication assemblies Mechanical & Electrical Standards parts Systems Avionics Power Distribution Panels Electro-mechanical assemblies & Actuation system etc This position requires a highly motivated professional to work through the supply chain and manufacturing operations process and manage both pre- and post-award activities including supplier development work transfer support work movement assessments contract execution and supplier performance management.
Position Responsibilities :
The location of the role would demand that the candidate relocate as per business requirements OR as per supplier location.
Responsibilities include leading the following activities :
Perform supplier capability assessment for Boeing Statement of Work across commodities by evaluating infrastructure manufacturing processes special processes testing capabilities leading to supplier recommendation/ on-boarding.
Identify supplier capability gaps if any and work with suppliers to help bridge the gaps.
Monitors suppliers performance-to-plan to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and provides status back to procurement agent and other cross-functional stakeholders. Evaluate supplier performance and customer requirements & develop continuous improvement plans.
Experience in aircraft parts manufacturing including Machining Sheet-Metal Fabrication Tube & Ducts Fabrication managing / qualifying special processes etc.
Experience in aviation welding and fabrication of titanium aluminum stainless steel and Inconel materials with knowledge of codes and industry standards including AMS AWS ASME etc.
Knowledge of TIG MIG Resistance Laser Friction Plasma welding etc. will be preferred.
Experience in aerospace complex Structural Assembly & Tooling (Assembly Jigs & Fixtures) will be an added advantage.
Hands on experience in destructive and non-destructive testing and metrology (including CMM & Laser Tracker) and strong understanding of GD&T will be preferred.
Experience in NADACP QPL & QLM processes will be preferred.
Experience in Avionics product line will be an added advantage including but not limited to cockpit panels computing hardware displays power systems power distribution panels PCBAs wire harness assemblies electro-mechanical actuation system etc.
Hands on experience in Aircraft parts manufacturing & its processes would be preferred.
Candidate shall be familiar with the standards defined by the FAA and other regulatory bodies and should have good understanding of certification requirements.
Support new supplier development through coaching and mentoring. Candidate shall have proven track record managing technical issue resolution root cause analysis yield improvement etc.
Experience in New Product Introduction FAIs Product and Process Qualification in Aerospace segment is highly desirable.
Identifies establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products and services meeting safety and quality requirements and ensure contractual compliance. Also analyze data that supports necessary supplier corrective actions and issue resolution.
Communicates across functions (including procurement team suppliers program stakeholders supplier quality engineering BR&T(BTI) manufacturing site quality IEs etc) to report status and concerns.
Engage with the supplier to develop a recovery plan in case of execution delays and unplanned demand requirements.
Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments including rate readiness capacity assessment PRA & PMR.
Compile and analyze supplier performance data. Review key supplier and internal risk indicators to identify potential supplier performance issues and develop mitigation plan.
Research and identify most probable adverse indicators. Elevate issues for resolution appropriately.
Identifies needs for training in business and manufacturing practices (e.g. requirements interpretation and clarification contractual compliance scheduling tools technical skills self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement of quality and delivery performance.
Consolidate data and prepare reports and presentations in support of program management reviews. Present supplier performance improvement recommendations.
Understanding of Statistical Process Capability Process automation Digital manufacturing techniques etcwould be added advantage.
Experience in leading/ supporting quality & process excellence effort including APQP Kaizen Fishbone Analysis 8D A3etc. would be added advantage.
Understanding / Knowledge of Statistical Analysis Process automation IoT / Digital manufacturing techniques Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Systems Industry 4.0 etcwould be added advantage.
Create collaborative partnership with suppliers and Supplier Management to develop risk issue and opportunity plans. Develop supplier recovery plans and line of balance (LOB) to support unplanned demand requirements.
