Job Summary
Our client a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major Sydney Metro project is seeking experienced Design Coordinators to support the delivery of large-scale station and rail infrastructure works.
About the Role
This role plays a key part in coordinating multidisciplinary design activities across civil and structural packages within a major infrastructure project. You will act as the interface between design consultants construction teams and stakeholders to ensure design alignment constructability and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate civil and structural design activities across multidisciplinary teams
Act as the key interface between consultants contractors and project stakeholders
Review design documentation to ensure constructability and compliance with specifications
Facilitate design coordination meetings to resolve technical issues and clashes
Ensure alignment of design outputs with project delivery requirements
Coordinate with BIM and digital engineering teams to manage design models and interfaces
Support integration of civil structural architectural and services design elements
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or related discipline
Proven experience in a Design Coordinator or similar role
Experience within infrastructure rail or major construction projects highly regarded
Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery processes
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve complex design issues
Strong communication and organisational skills
