Job Summary
Pay:
- $13.96/hour
- Upon completion of six months of consistent employment there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase up to $14.46/hour.
Job Summary:
As a Direct Support Professional Assistant you will participate as a member of the team and foster an environment that supports individuals in pursuit of their hopes dreams and personal outcomes. You will address any situations that may arise and ensure a safe and secure environment. You will provide guidance encouragement support comfort security and safety for the individuals we support through direct interaction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.
- Experience and/or training of at least one year with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Medication administration training required (may be obtained after turning 18 years of age).
- First Aid training required and CPR Certificate may be required (may be obtained after hire).
- Bureau of Criminal Affairs background study clearance required.
- Drivers license required.
- Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required upon turning 18 years of age. Cannot drive an LSS vehicle until 18 years of age completed vehicle safety training and implementation of an MVR.
- Ability to read write and use computer skills required.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to recognize boundaries.
- Ability to suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service.
- Patience self-control and flexibility.
- Computer skills that support LSS technology.
