Summary
- This role involves supporting qualified social workers in safeguarding and empowering children young people and their families under statutory interventions. The postholder will provide practical and therapeutic support contribute to assessments facilitate Family Time (supervised contact) and assist in developing interventions that reduce risk promote resilience and improve outcomes for children.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to assessments of childrens needs risks and strengths under the direction of a social worker.
- Work intensively with a caseload of families to reduce risk build resilience strengthen parenting capacity and promote childrens safety and wellbeing.
- Provide practical hands-on support around routines home conditions parenting life skills and creating safer more stable environments.
Essential Experience
- Experience working with children young people and families within social care early help education youth work health or community settings.
- Experience supporting families facing multiple and complex challenges including those difficult to engage.
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant Level 2 qualification (e.g. Health & Social Care Childcare Youth Work Education or equivalent experience).
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Location: Atlas House 2 Corporation Street St Helens WA9 1LD United Kingdom
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Bi-weekly payment schedule.
