DescriptionAs a Registered Nurse SDS/ENDO you will assess plan perform document and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the providers medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate communicate interpret and explain patient care services to the patient his/her family health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: 20hrs weekly; .5 FTE M-F day/evening hours call component included
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry
- Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
- Current BLS American Hart Association or BLS American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
- ACLS certification required from AHA within 6 months of start date if not present at hire
- Minimum 1-year recent Endo RN experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate or Masters degree in Nursing
- Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
- Specialty Certification in the RNs area of expertise (e.g. CCRN PCCN CNOR CPAN CAPA etc)
