The A Side: A Day in the Life

Universal Music Group is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Projects Coordinator to support the Commercial Projects team within the Commercial Affairs division.

This teamoperatesat the intersection ofdigital curationphysical product strategymarketing andbrand management driving commercial success across both physical and digital platforms.

In this roleyoullcoordinate a wide range of projectsfrom managing vinyl and CD campaigns to curating playlists supporting brand communications and liaising with international teams on thematic campaigns and analytical reporting.

Youllneed to be an adaptable multitasker who can balance operational efficiency with creative problem-solving and a natural collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced music-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Campaigns

  • Create andmaintainvinyl and CD price campaign sheets.

  • Create campaign themes andexplorecommerciallyviableproductsto sell across retail & e-commerce.

  • Manage approval workflows anddeterminepricing for new campaign titles.

  • Run and analyse sales data for physical campaigns.

  • Track canvass responses across markets ensuringtimelyand complete feedback.

  • Draft and send internal marketing notes for campaignsincluding product info and assets.

Digital & Curation

  • Quality checkcompilation productsin coordination with the delivery team.

  • Curate andmaintaina portfolio of heroplaylist products andpitching new playlist and brand concepts.

  • Collaborate with designers tomaintainplaylist artwork and deliver monthly Spotify ad asset suites.

  • Coordinate with social media freelancers to ensure regular relevant content posting and manage the creation of social ad assets.

  • Manage the track priority process across labels ensuring clear communication and feedback on placements.

Brands

  • Manage social media channelsacross TikTok InstagramYouTubeReddit Discord.

  • Manage marketing budgetsacross labels & markets coordinating invoices and measure final performance.

  • Liaise with markets and support operational processessuch as scheduling releases

  • Build CRM mailers and support digital communication strategies.

  • Onboardingdigital creators to our internal databaseand utilising across campaigns.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

  • Proven ability to multitask and manage project timelines across multiple disciplines.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings calls and updates.

  • Maintain campaign calendars and ensure visibility of project status across the team.

  • Keep track of budgets and report on spend where relevant.

  • Conduct data-driven analysis across markets sales and performance metrics.

  • Generate insights and visualisations to inform strategy and decision-making.

  • Interpret data to drive continuous improvement across campaigns.

Be Collaborative

  • Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including global commercial teams andlabels.

  • Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to deliver integrated commercial campaigns.

Be Creative

  • Identifyand respond tonew trendsin digital and physical media.

  • Contribute innovative ideas for curation campaigns and brand growth.

  • Support creative storytelling across UMGs catalogue and marketing activities.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and proactive work ethic.

  • Calm and adaptable under pressure.

  • Experience using social and digital media platforms (Instagram TikTok etc.).

  • Competence in analysing and presenting data.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • A genuine passion for musicwith strong catalogue repertoire knowledge.
